Governor Glenn Youngkin is leading a delegation of Virginians to France and the United Kingdom promoting trade and attracting international investment to the Old Dominion.
Top among Youngkin’s priorities is showcasing Virginia’s Aerospace Talent Accelerator and highlighting the state’s advanced manufacturing. The trip begins with the Paris Air Show before heading across the channel to London. (RELATED: Virginia Tech Awarded $1.1 Million Grant For 3D Housing Research)
The biennial Paris Air Show attracts over 300,000 attendees with vendors and exhibitors from the public and private sector of over 90 countries. Attending the event gives Youngkin and other Virginia representatives the opportunity to meet face-to-face with both industry leaders from across the globe in one location.
“Virginia is home to many of the world’s premier aerospace companies, and this trade mission is an opportunity to showcase our best-in-class workforce, business-friendly environment, and proven economic development expertise,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin.
Since Youngkin and Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears assumed office in 2022, the state has secured more than $100 billion in international investment, added over 270,000 jobs to the Commonwealth, and forged a strategic economic partnership with Taiwan.
