Charlie Kirk, founder of the conservative organization Turning Point USA, has died after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The shooting occurred around midday when a single bullet struck Kirk in the neck. He was rushed to a local hospital but could not be saved.

President Donald Trump shared his condolences on Truth Social, writing: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie… Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Vice President JD Vance, Utah Senator Mike Lee, and other leaders joined in expressing support. Social media users flooded platforms with messages of grief, praising Kirk’s dedication to youth engagement and conservative activism.

The FBI and local authorities continue to investigate the shooting. Kirk’s work with Turning Point USA, which has over 250,000 student members, made him a prominent figure on college campuses nationwide.
