“Subway Takes”’ influencer Kareem Rahma opened up about his ‘weird’ experience with Kamala Harris during an interview that his team decided not to release to avoid harming her electoral prospects.
Rahma, a prominent Muslim Tiktoker with many Muslim viewers, was already put off by the campaign’s unwillingness to discuss important political issues, and said the interview took a turn for the worse when Harris offered the ‘hot take’ that bacon is a spice.
“Her take was really confusing and weird – not good,” Rahma told Bertoni. And we “mutually agreed to not publish it. And I got lucky, because I didn’t want to be blamed for her losing.”
“Her take was that bad?” Bertoni said. (RELATED: Spanberger Campaign for Governor Bankrolled by Big Business and Megadonors)
“It was really, really bad… it like, didn’t make any sense,” Rahma said, revealing Harris’ take was “bacon as a spice.”
Rahma decided to nix the interview so that he would not be blamed if Harris lost the 2024 Presidential race, and because he did not want to upset the Muslim community, according to the New York Times. Rahma purportedly wanted to discuss the Harris campaign’s views regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, a topic that he believed would be of interest to his viewers.
Two senior campaign managers for the Harris campaign claimed that Harris’ take was floated before the episode was filmed, but Rahma and his team deny that the topic was broached prior to the interview.
The revelation by Rahma is just the latest in a series of attempts to edit or cover up poor interview performances by Harris during the 2024 campaign. (RELATED: Spanberger: Police Immigration Enforcement “A Distraction of Resources”)
