Political Violence Surges: Two Shootings Rock U.S. in One Weekend
Two more politically-motivated shootings have taken place over the weekend as political tensions rise after the death of Charlie Kirk

On Saturday, two shootings took place across the country with Left political ties not even two weeks after Charlie Kirk’s assassination. 

A country club was ambushed on Saturday during a wedding when a crazed gunman entered the venue shouting “Free Palestine” shot and killed a father in attendance. According to the New York Post, ​​Police have charged Hunter Nadeau, 23, with murder after arresting him on Saturday night.

“I, along with everyone within the Sky Meadow Country Club community, am heartbroken over the tragic event that unfolded last night. This was the heinous act of a coward who will be held to account for what he did,” said the owner of the venue in a statement. 

The man killed was 59-year-old Robert DeCesare, who rose to protect his wife and daughter when shots rang out. “He turned around and stood up and took a bullet for his family,” she told NBC10 Boston. “And I’m very proud of him,” said O’Rourke’s mother

The second shooting took place in California at the ABC affiliate, ABC10 news station. The shots come just a day after the station was met with protests for ABC and Nexstar removing “Jimmy Kimmel Live” after he made controversial comments last week regarding the Charlie Kirk assasination.  

According to the New York Post, Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64, was arrested Friday night at an apartment in the River Park neighborhood and charged with firing three bullets into the lobby window of ABC10’s Broadway headquarters. Hernandez-Santana, made previous posts on social media including a post about President Trump. “Please join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.” Also when Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show” was canceled in July, Hernandez-Santana made another post that read “the authoritarian oligarchy is now complete” and urged others to “fight like hell.”

On Monday, the suspect will make his first appearance in federal court, according to ABC 10.
