Anheuser-Busch has committed to a $6.5 million investment in its Williamsburg, Virginia, brewery, a move aimed at strengthening the facility’s infrastructure and enhancing its production capabilities. This new funding will be directed towards capital infrastructure projects, including the overhaul of equipment and other improvements to increase efficiencies across the brewery.
The Williamsburg brewery, a significant local employer, currently supports more than 400 jobs. This investment is part of Anheuser-Busch’s broader commitment to fostering economic growth and job creation in the communities it serves. Over the last five years, the company has injected nearly $2 billion into its facilities nationwide, underscoring its role as a major player in the American brewing industry.
Since establishing its presence in Virginia in 1972, Anheuser-Busch has been a cornerstone of James City County’s economy. To date, the company’s operations in the state have generated over $1.1 billion in capital investments, cementing its position as a key contributor to Virginia’s economic vitality.
Anheuser-Busch operates more than 120 facilities across the United States and, along with its distributors, employs 65,000 Americans, highlighting its significant impact on the national workforce and economic landscape.
