A polyamorous swinger, someone who calls police terrorists, and stacks upon stacks of unpaid taxes. What do they all have in common? They’re all Democrats running for office in Virginia.
Yvonne Rorrer, who is challenging Republican Wren Williams in District 47, made international headlines when she announced that she and her husband were “ethically non-monogamous,” also known as swingers.
“If you dare to step outside the box, they’ll try to use it to discredit you,” Rorrer said, defending her announcement. (RELATED: Spanberger Pledges to Increase Energy Taxes)
“Ladies and gentlemen, meet Yvonne!” announced sex influencer Kiley Ann. “She’s a bada$$ upside down pineapple chick running for office and SHE NEEDS OUR SUPPORT!”
Kiley Ann continued, “If you’re associated with ENM, I’m talking poly peeps, swingers, relationship anarchists it’s time to empower and uplift those in our community!”
School Board member Nicole Cole, who is challenging Del. Bobby Orrock in District 66,” was charged with assaulting a fellow board member. Cole refuses to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance and a judge called the repeated issues surrounding the school board “Chaos.”
Many of the Virginia Democrats’ long-shot candidates have troubled financial history.
Rorror has filed for bankruptcy and has multiple debt judgments against her and Cole faced a $13,040 state tax lien. Catherine Rec, the 33rd District Democrat nominee has numerous judgements while Earnadette Farar (District 50) waited until February of this year to pay off a ten year Maryland tax lien. Farar also has a history of multiple bankruptcies while Rec has a criminal history of vandalism and destruction of property.
Back in May, Democrats were proud to announce their historic success: a full slate of candidates in every one of Virginia’s 100 House of Delegates districts while Republicans left 26 incumbent Democrat seats unchallenged.
“This is a big development from the perspective of turnout,” said Stephen Farnsworth, a political scientist at the University of Mary Washington. “Even in districts where you’re not going to win, you’re going to help pump up the vote for your party, and that can help statewide candidates.”
That strategy may come back to bite them as low-quality candidates continue to commit unforced errors that embarrass the party.

Susanna Gibson may have lost reelection after livestreaming sex acts on a pornography website, but Delegate Kelly Fowler won reelection after she and her husband took to TikTok to announce that Fowler was a bisexual and transgender Senator Danica Roem has run national trainings in California recruiting transgender candidates for public office.
